We had a recent school evaluation recommending vision therapy. The school has said the only place they are contracted with is 29 miles away (which is often more than one hour drive each way), and wants us to go there for services weekly. That drive is not sustainable for us. There are places in our town who provide vision therapy but they don’t contract with the district due to the districts restrictive contracting verbiage. The district also isn’t making any efforts to find/ contract with a closer option. What is the responsibility of the district to find available and usable services?

The paras last day at my daughters school is in 2 days. She has been working with my daughter since the beginning of the school year with math and reading push in and pull out services. Shes been the only one working with daughter and my daughters triennial meeting isn't until May. Ide like to know what records/info can I request from the rsp teachers aid/para before she leaves. Anyone know of instructor or program for: Need resources for Dyscalculia instruction/ methodologies for my son. He is many years behind in Mathematics and the school after fighting for many years is finally granting him compensatory education/ instruction. This will spill over after he graduates also in June and needs to be after school seperate from school instruction and be 1:1. I cannot find anyone in my area. Please help!! Thank you, Karen
