YMP Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 If my child has an IEP and the context in which it is written includes derogatory statements, opinions, and or past disciplinary measures listed in its context is it relevant to have it be on IEP? Quote
0 JSD24 Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 The language used in an IEP should be professional. The IEP should explain the student's present level. If the student has a history of breaking school rules and getting disciplined for this, it is part of their present levels and should be included. An IEP is not the place for derogatory statements. Professional opinion and past disciplinary measures are OK. Quote
