About Me

I am a Texas mom of two boys, a Special Educator of 33 years, and a wife of a coach. I have been an advocate for 33 years for hundreds of kids and still keep in contact with many of them. I started teaching my own boys self-advocacy skills when they were in day care and at times I have felt like it back fired on me when I wanted to be mommy, but they showed me that "hey mom, I've got this! Just sit back and watch!" It's been an incredible journey with both my own flesh and blood and all of the lives that I have touched in some way, and it isn't over yet!
