    How can we get the DOE to follow the Laws of IDEA? The above situation with the DOE holding an IEP meeting without the parent and not sending a PWN and taking more than 60 days for an IEP is not acceptable. Unfortunately your story happens to others and the DOE is not penalized enough to keep them in line . I think parents ought to consider bringing civil rights case seeking damages to hopefully get the DOE to shape up
